By Bob Hechtel, with Tomie dePaola
I promised Barbara Elleman (author of TOMIE dePAOLA, HIS ART & HIS STORIES) in March that I would mention her workshop at IRA in this newsletter. But, I kept thinking IRA was to occur in late May.
Wrong.
So, here’s the scoop…
“Reading and the Arts: Alternative Opportunities for Student Engagement and Inspiration: Four Authors, Four Perspectives”
(There will only be three authors and presumably only three perspectives.)
Palmer House Hilton Grand Ballroom
May 4, 12:30 – 3:15 p.m.
Barbara Elleman’s topic is “The Power of Biographies to Connect Students with Real World Experiences.”
Barbara also wrote VIRGINIA LEE BURTON, A LIFE IN ART.
Apologies to Barbara!
Until next time, best wishes,
Bob Hechtel
