This is just a quick note to let you know that a “blog is born.”

A new resource that I’ve created is a “work in progress” downloadable Bibliography of Tomie dePaola’s books. There are two places at Tomie.com where you can download the Excel 2007 document (at HOT! NEW! FRESH! on the Home Page, or click BOOKS on the Home Page, and then, BIBLIOGRAPHY). There’s also a link to the Bibliography in the right hand column of the blog.

The advantage of using Excel to create the document is that the user can organize the list of books by manipulating the columns of the Excel document. Put the list in order by year, title, author, illustrator, publisher, language, etc. Want to know which books were translated into Zulu? Put the language column in alphabetical order.

Right now, there are over 500 editions listed: original edition, paperbacks, foreign editions, and more.

As I add more editions to the list, the Bibliography at Tomie.com will continually be updated.
