The Meriden, Connecticut, Public Library staged a three-day “Welcome Home, Tomie” celebration in September, 1985.
One of the highlights was a parade. The organizers’ trick to get hundreds of folks lining the streets? Put lots of children in the parade. Parents and grandparents will go to the parade to see their children in the parade.
