2016. Then NH Governor Maggie Hassan (now US Senator Maggie Hassan) on left, former NH First Lady Dr. Susan Lynch on right. Dr. Lynch had asked Tomie to speak at the Bridges House, “the home of New Hampshire’s governor, its people, and its history,” built in 1835. Dr. Lynch had also asked Tomie to speak at her husband’s fourth inauguration as New Hampshire’s governor, in 2011. Although Tomie would infrequently see Dr. Lynch, his face would light up when he chatted with her. https://www.friendsofbridgeshouse.org/ (Bob)

REMEMBERING TOMIE on May 7, 2020
2011. Tomie was invited to the National Book Festival on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Here he is with actress and author Julianne Moore in the authors’ tent. As we left the overflowing presentation tent where Tomie spoke, on a transport vehicle, fans ran alongside the vehicle to snap Tomie’s photo. It just seemed very funny to us that folks were running to take his photo. Here’s a link to his talk… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waam_9DvHV8 (Bob)
